WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Infusion for a local contract nursing job in Plainsboro, New Jersey.

Our client is a privately owned, specialty practice medical group with an oncology-focused infusion center located in Plainsboro, NJ. They are currently in need of several Infusion RN's to support day to day activities on a full-time/40 hour per week basis. 

Job Function:

\n

• Administer I.V. drugs to chemotherapy and other patients under the supervision of the physician; for flushing ports.
\n
• Advise the Senior Charge Nurse/Pharmacy Manager NCC of needed medication and supplies.
\n
• Appropriately dispose of chemo waste which may contaminate the environment.
\n
• Prepare and maintain chemo equipment; inform Senior Charge Nurse/Pharmacy Manager of needed repairs.
\n
• Educate patients on nutrition and side effects of the drugs used.
\n
• Promptly recognize treatment of extravasation, according to department guidelines.
\n
• Ensure that all new patients speak with the Business Office before receiving therapy.
\n
• Responsible for control of schedule, i.e. when over-booked to attempt to reschedule patients.
\n
• Documentation of drugs, solutions, treatments, and patient responses according to department guidelines.
\n
• Follow department guidelines regarding protective techniques to avoid exposure to antineoplastic drugs during preparation and administration.
\n
• Follow departmental guidelines regarding universal infectious control precautions and hazardous substance guidelines

Job Requirements:

• Valid IV Certification
\n
• Valid NJ RN License
\n
• BLS
\n
• Preferred:
  
  • ACLS
  \n
  • ONS/OCN Certification Preferred
  \n
  • Next Gen EMR experience preferred
  \n
  \n
\n
